Curtin Primary encourages a whole school approach to sustainability, exploring through real-life learning experiences, improvements in a school's management of resources and facilities including energy, waste, water, biodiversity, landscape design, products and materials. The inquiry curriculum also addresses the associated social and financial issues.
Staff, students and parents at our school are committed to a number of sustainability initiatives including paper and plastic recycling, gardening clubs and composting. Our community has also worked together to establish and maintain water wise flower and vegetable gardens.
Curtin Primary School has invested in a number of sustainability resources including water tanks and solar panels. We endeavour to ensure our events such as the annual Twilight Fair are waste wise and environmentally friendly.
